Permanent Hair Removal
Previously, hair depilation was associated with lasers. However, it is now recognized by experts that intense pulsed light and in particular variable pulsed light systems regularly achieve better results than other techniques available on the market. The Energist Ultra V.P.L. system has the capability of effective, permanent reduction of hair, utilising a technique known as selective photothermoloysis or more simply, selective heating through the absorption of light. By absorbing into the melanin (colour in hairs) then down to the growing cells, the light and heat temperature progressively, permanently and painlessly inhibits the hairs ability to grow. Unwanted hair can be removed from all parts of the body for both men and women. V.P.L. skin therapy is an FDA approved process that has many advantages over other treatment modalities as it effectively treats a combination of changes in the skin, from signs of ageing and sun damage to broken facial capillaries, pigmentary abnormalities and cosmetic imperfections. The effect of the light energy from the V.P.L stimulates the fibroblast cells in the skin which increases the production of collagen and elastin.
